Hi, I’m Amy Aliz, and I’ve been a REVFIT member since day one—three years ago.
I had never had a gym membership in my life before joining REVFIT. I didn’t think I was a fitness person. I wasn’t an athlete in high school or college, and every time I tried working out, it felt too difficult. Strength training, in my mind, was for elite athletes and bodybuilders—not someone like me.
But then REVFIT started hosting outdoor workouts at Rahr Brewery, and that setting made it less intimidating for me to give it a try. It felt like the perfect opportunity to finally take that first step, and I’m so glad I did.
My First REVFIT Experience – A Gym Without Mirrors? I’m In!
One of the things that gave me the confidence to walk through the doors was hearing that REVFIT had no mirrors and low lighting.
I thought, “Wait a minute… maybe I can do this?”
Even if I wasn’t great at the exercises, at least no one would see me struggling. That reassurance got me to show up, and once I did, I realized that no one was watching or judging me anyway—everyone was just focused on their own progress.

How I Built Strength Without Even Realizing It
